President urges public to retain spirituality after Ramadan

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has stated that the rekindling of one's faith is the highest satisfaction gained from the month of Ramadan and called upon the public to stay firm on the path of Islam. He made the call in his message on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr.

President Solih started his message by extending his warmest greetings and best wishes on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr to all Maldivian citizens. He went on to extend greetings to the leaders of Islamic countries, heads of Islamic organisations, and the global Islamic community.

In his message, President Solih emphasised the need to dissociate feelings of rivalry and envy from within and encouraged people to avoid commotion and unrest. He also prompted the people to promote forgiveness, be compassionate towards one another and strengthen efforts to mend broken relationships.

Furthermore, President Solih also stressed the importance of fortifying familial bonds on Eid by spending time with one's parents, family members, spouse, and children. He implored everyone to call on their friends and exchange Eid greetings while keeping in mind the needy, the underprivileged, and the destitute.
