Thinadhoo Island Council has decided to open applications for 150 land plots ranging from 1,500-2,000sqft each. The land plots are located on the empty residential area as designated in the land use plan of Thinadhoo in Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll.
Thinadhoo Island Council plans to give out 70 land plots to residents, 66 plots to non-residents, five plots to single parents, three plots to local businesses owned by non-residents, and six plots to individuals in the professional services sector. The council will be accepting applications from May 18 to June 1.
Thinadhoo Island Council stated that the land owners will be responsible for constructing a home that is properly sheltered, with rooms, bathrooms, and a kitchen, as per the relevant regulations. They will also be required to construct a wall facing the street, paint their house, and place the address plate.
