President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has attended the closing ceremony of the Maldives Open 2023 10-Ball Championship held at the National Billiard Centre. He watched the championship's final match and gave away prizes to the champion and runner-up respectively.
The Maldives Open 2023 10-Ball Championship is the first International Billiard Tournament held in the Maldives and saw the participation of 64 players from 15 nations. The event was held at the Maldives Pool Billiard Association (MPBA) house from April 24-26.
The administration pledged to host international sports tournaments in the Maldives and help develop the skills of local athletes in order to compete on the international stage. The Maldives Open 2023 10-Ball Championship is the second such international sporting event of the year.
