Urbanco showcases opportunities at Urban Isle to foreign investors

Urbanco has showcased the various investment opportunities available at the integrated tourism project Urban Isle during the Bridging Tourism Destination Conference held in Budva, Montenegro

The conference, entitled Bridging Tourism Destination Conference was from May 11-12. A Maldivian delegation of representatives participated in the conference and shared the various opportunities available at the destination for Balkan investors and travel trade. Chief Hospitality Officer of Urbanco Ibrahim Inaz participated in the conference from Urbanco and shared with the attendees the potential of the Urban Isle project and the opportunities it will bring to the tourism industry of the Maldives.

Urbanco stated that the Urban Isle project will function as a separate tourism island within Hulhumale' and will provide valuable links between the Male' City and the country’s main economic hub. The master plan features a range of contemporary properties including high-end, midscale, and luxury villas and hotels, service apartments, city hotels, guesthouses, branded retail stores, and high-end restaurants. As such, the project presents an excellent array of choices for investors to invest in with diversified business models offering greater flexibility. Some of the convenient business models used by the project that investors can submit proposals for include the lease model and joint-venture (JV) models as well as other models.

Urbanco also stated that potential investors can also benefit from the close proximity shared by the Urban Isle to Velana International Airport (VIA), Hulhumale' and Male' which will add great value to the infrastructure properties being developed under the project. Urbanco further stated that the master plan has been drawn up with close attention paid to bringing eco-friendly solutions and designs to the project.
