Urbanco has opened the opportunity for interested individuals to submit applications to rent smart parking slots in Hulhumale'.
Urbanco stated the opportunity to rent a slot in the smart parking zone is open for residents in Hulhumale' and that bids will be accepted on June 7. The parking zone is located near the ferry terminal area in Hulhumale' will be leased for a period of three years and will have 23 spaces for rent. Individuals who pay the rent for three years will be given a 7% discount. The rent will start from the date of handover.
Urbanco stated the parking zone will be open for rent and will be monitored by CCTV cameras 24 hours a day to ensure the safety of vehicles parked in the zone. The smart parking zone will detect the vehicle and will open the parking gate after viewing the license plates of the vehicles with a special camera. Modern technology will allow drivers to navigate through the zone, according to Urbanco.
In addition, the zone will have special parking slots for short-term and long-term parking and special slots for people with disabilities. Urbanco also developed an application to make it easier for those who want to park for a certain period of time. The application will also show the vacant parking spaces in the smart parking zone, parking prices, reservations, space vacancy messages, and the area where the parking slot is located.
Hulhumale' is a densely populated area and road traffic is increasing. As a result, the lack of parking spaces is now a major issue faced by residents.
