Vice President Faisal Naseem has met and expressed his gratitude towards schools for their efforts to improve the results of students studying in the atolls.
During his meeting, Vice President Naseem met with the students who won the Top Achievers' Award 2020-2021 secondary and higher secondary examinations from schools in the atolls. He also expressed his gratitude to the heads of schools for their efforts to improve the results of the students.
Out of the 6,360 candidates who took the secondary examinations last year, 844 students achieved a position in the prestigious national top 10 rankings, including 11 students ranked in the world's top 10, while six were honoured with the High Achievement Award. This year marks the first time in history that the students of Al Madhrasathul Arabiyyathul Islamiyya had the opportunity to compete for the award.
The government is making efforts to improve the quality of education in schools in the atolls. As such, the government has been working hard to establish the necessary infrastructure, provide necessary assistance and improve the quality of teaching for all students.
