President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has stated the Maldives is open to foreign investments in numerous sectors and invited Czech investors to explore investment opportunities in the Maldives. The discussions took place after the new Ambassador of the Czech Republic to the Maldives Dr. Eliška Žigová presented her credentials.
At the meeting, President Solih congratulated Ambassador Žigová on the commencement of her term and highlighted that this year marked the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. He spoke further on enhancing the friendly relations and strengthening cooperation between the two countries.
Furthermore, during the meeting, the Maldives and the Czech Republic expressed commitment to strengthening bilateral ties between the two countries in all areas of mutual interest. The discussions also focused on enhancing cooperation in various fields such as climate change, tourism, health, environment, and higher education.
