President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has revealed that renewable energy power systems will be installed in 155 mosques across the country.
Addressing the residents of Nilandhoo, Faafu Atoll, President Solih shared that funds have been allocated to facilitate the transition of mosques to renewable energy sources, which will result in a 50% reduction in electricity bills. Additionally, he emphasised that all the mosques will be equipped with air conditioning systems.
The government has been actively pursuing various projects aimed at reducing energy consumption and promoting the use of environmentally friendly energy sources.
