Male’ City Council has decided to demolish Sinamale’ flats and hire a contractor to redevelop the buildings.
The project consists of the development of 1,500 apartments. As such, a five-storey building with 700 apartments will be built in the first phase and a five-storey building with 800 apartments will be built in the second phase. The buildings will consist of two-room, three-room, and four-room apartments with the ground floor dedicated to commercial units and a parking zone in the basement.
Male’ City Council will be accepting proposals for the Sinamale’ Redevelopment Project until June 15. Interested companies are required to register by June 4. The council will select the company for the project based on the price, the concept design and the company's capabilities.
