President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has announced that the administration is committed to completing the development of Magoodhoo Airport within the current term. He made the statement during a meeting with the residents of Magoodhoo, Faafu Atoll.
Speaking to residents of Magoodhoo, President Solih acknowledged the warm hospitality extended to the visiting delegation, emphasising that the primary objective of the meeting was to seek the residents' perspectives and ideas for advancing the island's development. He was joined by First Lady Fazna Ahmed, cabinet ministers, parliamentarians, senior government officials, and heads of state-owned enterprises at the meeting.
During the meeting, the residents of Magoodhoo conveyed their significant needs and concerns, highlighting the importance of road development and improvements in the health and educational sectors. In response, President Solih emphasised the importance of seeking advice and consulting with the residents of the islands and said that he would engage with relevant stakeholders to address the issues raised by the community of Magoodhoo.
