Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure has contracted Road Development Corporation Limited (RDC) for the construction of roads in Filladhoo in Haa Alifu Atoll and Kendhikolhudhoo in Noonu Atoll. The agreements for both projects were signed between Director General at the planning ministry Fatimath Shana Farooq and the Managing Director of RDC Moosa Ali Manik
RDC is tasked with the development of roads in Filladhoo. Under the project, 1.1km of roads will be constructed and street lights will be installed. The project is contracted at a cost of USD1.9 million and completed within 240 days.
RDC is also tasked with the development of roads in Kendhikolhudhoo. Under the project, 3.7km of road will be paved and asphalt will be laid, a stormwater drainage system will be installed and street lights will be installed. The project is contracted at a cost of USD5.8 million and completed within 540 days.
Both projects were contracted to RDC on a design-and-build basis
