SDFC launches first dedicated digital marketplace

SME Development Finance Corporation Private Limited (SDFC) has launched the first dedicated digital marketplace for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the Maldives called Kumevi Baazaar.

SDFC stated that the digital marketplace is an online platform that allows MSMEs to advertise and promote their businesses. The platform was launched on June 20 to mark World MSME Day.

Speaking to PSM News, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of SDFC Nazim Habeeb that registration will be available through the company's website and various social media platforms. He also said that the platform will help small businesses to market themselves and find more opportunities.

Registration for Kumevi Baazaar is open from July 4-11. SDFC stated that the platform will be a great convenience for customers as well.

SDFC was established in 2019 as a specialised financial institution providing financial products and ancillary services to MSMEs and entrepreneurial start-ups with the primary purpose of easing access to finance for MSMEs.
