Gov't policy is to provide convenient services: Vice President

Vice President Faisal Naseem has stated that the administration's policy is to provide services in a convenient manner so that the people's time is not wasted. He made the remark after inaugurating the STO Smart Store in Hulhumale'.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Vice President Naseem highlighted the rapid technological changes in the world and said the Maldivian youth are quick to become familiar with new technologies. He also noted the success the youth are achieving in the field of information technology.

Additionally, Vice President Naseem said the administration has also begun major initiatives in the field of technology, including the recently introduced One-Gov system, which will provide easy access to government services from one place. He assured that the administration's policy is to implement new technologies to provide convenient services to the public.

The STO Smart Store has been opened in Hulhumale' Phase 1. The store operates without traditional cashiers or sales personnel, and is the first of its kind in the Maldives. The Grab and Go concept introduced by the store is expected to reduce shopping time and eliminate confusion, while AI cameras track stock and inventory.
