Road Development Corporation Limited (RDC) has laid asphalt on segments eight and nine as part of the Ameenee Magu Road Development Project.
RDC began work on Segment 8 of Ameenee Magu on June 10. Segments 8 and 9 include buildings such as Billabong High International School, Ghiyasuddin International School, and Ahmadhiyya International School, making it the busiest area of the road. RDC said that traffic signs will be installed and the area will be open to the public by the new academic year. RDC is now working on segments 10 and 11.
The modernisation of Ameenee Magu, one of the main roads connecting all the wards of the city, is being carried out in 13 segments. The project involves paving the whole 1.7km length of Ameenee Magu with asphalt and installing a new stormwater drainage system. The project was contracted to RDC at a price of USD5.5 million.
