President inaugurates harbour, water, and sewerage networks in Rinbudhoo

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has inaugurated the completion of a harbour upgrading project and a water and sewerage network in Rinbudhoo, Dhaalu Atoll.

Heavy Force Private Limited was contracted with the harbour development of Rinbudhoo in 2019 at a cost of USD1.9 million. The project included the construction of a 367m outer sea wall, 82m revetment, 20m groyne, and 254m quay wall. It also included the construction of a 247m sand-filled breakwater, an 11m by 11m ramp, and the construction of a pavement in a 1,270sqm area.

Additionally, Altec Maldives Private Limited built the island's water and sewerage networks. During the visit, President Solih also opened a jetty developed on the island by Sun Siyam Cares.

Under the leadership of President Solih, the administration has made significant strides towards achieving equitable development across all inhabited islands in the Maldives. The progress made includes enhancing the quality of life for citizens and empowering them to lead dignified lives.

During his visits to various islands, President Solih is officially inaugurating the completion of numerous projects and services.
