Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure has contracted Road Development Corporation Limited (RDC) for the development of the main roads using asphalt in Maamendhoo, Gaafu Alifu Atoll.
The agreement was signed by Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure Zeenya Ahmed Hameed and General Manager of RDC Ahmed Shihad.
The scope of the project includes paving 5.47 km of road and the installation of drainage systems and street lights. The project is being carried out on a design and build basis and RDC is tasked with completing the project within 730 days at a cost of USD8.9 million.
