Ministry of Health has handed over projects to build extensions for health centres in four islands.
The extensions are to be built for health centres in Maaungoodhoo in Shaviyani Atoll, Kanditheemu in Shaviyani Atoll, Ukulhas in Alifu Alifu Atoll, and Guraidhoo in Kaafu Atoll. The extension building will include space for an administrative office, meeting room, public health unit, general store, medical store and laundry area.
Central Line Private Limited has been contracted to build the extension for Maaungoodhoo health centre and the Kanditheemu health centre for USD1.6 million each. Altec Maldives Private Limited is tasked with building the extension for the Guraidhoo health centre for USD4.9 million while Fedo Private Limited is contracted to build the extension for the Ukulhas health centre for USD5 million.
