President inaugurates newly completed infrastructure in Kendhoo

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has inaugurated several newly completed infrastructure projects in Kendhoo, Baa Atoll.

The projects include the island's coastal protection, football ground, and volleyball court. The coastal protection project was completed by the Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC). The project features a 210m revetment, a 754m sea wall, and an 800sqm swimming area.

The newly inaugurated football ground in Kendhoo is layered with turf and features state-of-the-art amenities and facilities. The administration contracted its development to Myna Sports Field Private Limited. In addition, the modern volleyball court was developed by Maldives Assure Supply.

The administration stated that it has implemented various initiatives to provide modern football grounds, futsal fields, and sports courts across the atolls. These efforts are designed to promote healthy and active lifestyles among young people, foster the development of local athletic talent, and create a more vibrant and active community.
