TTM Maldives 2023 officially begins

The much-anticipated 7th edition of TTM Maldives 2023 has officially begun, uniting esteemed guests, partners, and industry leaders for a dynamic two-day event. As the country's largest travel trade exhibition, TTM Maldives 2023 offers a vital platform for networking, knowledge exchange, and collaboration among key stakeholders within the travel and hospitality sector. Running from August 22nd to 23rd, the event unfolds at the prestigious Meerumaa Conference Facility, hosting industry players and culminating in the TTM Awards & Gala Night at the CROSSROADS Maldives.

The event's highlight, the pre-arranged TTM Connect Meetings, spans from 0900hrs to 1700hrs, leveraging the innovative TTM Connect software. This cutting-edge platform features virtual profiles and video call functionalities, facilitating hybrid meetings throughout the event. Each year, TTM Maldives orchestrates over 3000 pre-scheduled meetings among 500 travel trade professionals, fostering discussions on contracts worth over USD1 billion. This year's edition boasts more than 100 showcasing resorts, accommodating 200 agents, operators, and local DMCs across diverse markets, leading to an impressive 3000 pre-arranged meetings.

Thoyyib Mohamed, CEO & Managing Director of Visit Maldives, inaugurated the event with an opening speech. Distinguished industry giants, including Agoda, Trip.com, and Booking.com, took the stage during the event's opening ceremony, offering enlightening presentations. These experts not only illuminated the latest trends, challenges, and opportunities shaping the global travel landscape but also provided profound insights into the industry's dynamic evolution. Rajesh Mehta, Chief Business Officer at Ooredoo Maldives, added his perspective, while Jurgen Ortelee, Managing Director of IdeaS, presented strategies for AI-driven revenue optimisation.
