Gov't begins handing over land plots under Binveriya scheme

Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure has begun handing over land plots in the Greater Male' Region under the Binveriya housing scheme.

The planning ministry is contacting the land plot recipients and requesting them to gather at the Hulhumale' synthetic track for the agreement signing. The ministry noted that if the recipient designates someone else to sign on their behalf, it is essential to complete the Power of Attorney form and notarise it. The ministry also advised those arriving for the agreement signing to bring a copy of the identity cards of the land recipients and the Power of Attorney form if acting as a substitute. The Power of Attorney form and a sample of the land plot transfer agreement can be accessed through the Gedhoruverin Portal.

The government is providing over 9,000 land plots to residents of Male' under the Binveriya housing scheme. The plots will be allocated from Hulhumale' Phase II and by reclaiming Gulhi Falhu and Giraavaru Falhu. A total of 19,639 individuals have been deemed eligible in the final list for the Binveriyaa scheme. The ministry plans to give out around 5,400 land plots from Giraavaru Falhu, 2,200 from Gulhi Falhu, and 1,300 from Hulhumale' Phase II.
