President inaugurates completed infrastructure projects on Angolhitheemu

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has marked the completion of several newly completed infrastructure projects initiated by his administration on Angolhitheemu, Raa Atoll. During his visit, he marked the completion of the upgraded harbour, Fenaka office, healthcare centre extension, and laboratory.

The harbour upgrading project on Angolhitheemu was completed by the Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC). The project entailed a range of significant improvements, including the dredging of the harbour basin and channel, the construction of the breakwater and quay wall, the installation of portlights, and the construction of the pavement.

The newly developed healthcare centre extension on Angolhitheemu features a range of state-of-the-art facilities, including an administrative area for managing healthcare employees, a public health unit providing preventative and promotional health services, and compressor and storage rooms. Additionally, the newly opened Fenaka office, strategically situated on the island, is a spacious and modern facility with space for 30 employees.

Under President Solih's leadership, the administration has achieved significant strides towards equitable development across all inhabited islands in the Maldives. This includes enhancing the quality of life for citizens and empowering them to lead dignified lives. During his visits to various islands, President Solih is officially inaugurating the completion of numerous projects and services.
