The Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure has contracted Road Development Corporation Limited (RDC) for the development of roads in Kelaa, Haa Alifu Atoll. The agreement was signed between the Director General at the Planning Ministry Fathimath Shana Farooq and the General Manager of RDC Hassan Saeed.
Under the agreement, RDC is tasked to complete the development of roads in Kelaa within 730 days at a cost of USD6.4 million. The scope of the project includes paving 3.9km of the main road with asphalt, as well as the installation of drainage systems and street lights.
The project was contracted to RDC on a design and build basis.
