Gov't signs contract to build a mosque in Isdhoo

Ministry of Islamic Affairs has contracted Fedo Private Limited to construct a mosque in Isdhoo, Laamu Atoll. The agreement was signed by Minister of Islamic Affairs Dr. Ahmed Zahir Ali during a ceremony held at the Islamic Centre in Male' City.

During the signing ceremony, Minister Zahir expressed his commitment to ensuring that the project is executed in strict accordance with the agreement. He also assured that the Islamic ministry is fully dedicated to providing the essential cooperation needed to facilitate the successful completion of the project.

As part of the project, Fedo will be building mosques with the capacity to accommodate 500 worshipers in Isdhoo for USD519,000. The project is being funded under the government's Public Sector Investment Programme (PSIP). The company has been given 365 days to complete the construction of the mosque, which will be built to accommodate both men and women.
