A total of 87 employees from the Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) have graduated from the Maldives National Apprenticeship Programme.
Under the apprenticeship programme, 87 employees have obtained Certificate III in Bus Operations. MTCC aims to enable its staff to attain qualifications that are accredited by the Maldives Qualifications Authority (MQA) in bus operations through the programme.
The graduation ceremony was attended by Minister of Higher Education Dr. Ibrahim Hassan, Minister of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment Ahmed Mahloof and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of MTCC Adam Azim.
MTCC is providing bus services to the citizens in Male' City and the atolls. MTCC is also working to make the bus service part of the public transport system a reliable service for the public. The company focuses on convenient ticketing and bus services to the areas most needed by the public.
