Tatabye Tours organises familiarisation trip to Maldives

Tatabye Tours has organised a familiarisation trip to the Maldives for a group of top travel professionals from India, the Middle East and Sri Lanka.

A total of 15 individuals arrived in the Maldives in August and explored nine resorts in 10 days. Tatabye broke their own record, which was set last year by organising trips for 13 individuals to eight resorts.

Tatabye Tours, also known as Tatabye Maldives, has a major market share in the Maldives and serves both the Indian and Middle Eastern markets. Tatabye Tours is a nine-year-old company based in South India and is one of the leading wholesalers for the Maldivian tourism industry with over 140 contracted resorts.

Founder of Tatabye Tours Roshan Jain headed the familiarisation trip and welcomed the group to the Maldives. The team consisted of travel professionals from Dubai, Colombo, Maharashtra, Karnataka, New Delhi and Tamil Nadu.

The group was hosted at nine different resorts including Hard rock, SAii Lagoon, Sun Siyam Olhuveli, Kurumba, Velassaru, Centara Grand Island Resort, Villa Park, Siyam World and Centara Ras Fushi. They experienced the world-renowned Maldivian hospitality, unique experiences such as whale shark snorkeling, dolphin cruises, sunset cruises and different cuisines at their hosted properties.

The purpose of the trip was to create awareness in the market about how the Maldives has recovered as a destination after the pandemic and the unique products and experiences they offer for visitors. The travel agents will be able to market the Maldives with more accuracy after experiencing the products and services for themselves.
