Attacks on Palestine are attacks on Muslim community: Gov't

Minister of Home Affairs Imran Abdulla has stated that the attacks on Palestine are attacks on the entire Muslim community. He made the remark while inaugurating the ceremony held to mark the day the Maldives embraced Islam.

Speaking at the ceremony, Minister Imran highlighted the importance and sanctity of Islam, noting that out of the thousands of religions in the world, Islam is the only religion that remains unchanged. He also said that the strength of Islam comes from upholding its principles and the solidarity of the Muslim community.

Additionally, Minister Imran said that the longstanding independence of the Maldives is a demonstration of the commitment to Islam. He added that Islam is the greatest blessing given to Maldivians and that the greatest happiness comes from the solidarity of the entire Muslim community around the world.

Furthermore, Minister Imran shed light on the recent escalation of violence in Gaza and condemned the attacks being carried out by the extremist Israeli government on the Palestinian people. He said that Palestine is one of the holiest lands of Islam and urged Muslims to reflect on the atrocities being committed against Palestinians, adding that the attacks on Palestinians are an attack on the entire Muslim community.
