Minister of Islamic Affairs Dr. Ahmed Zahir Ali has travelled to Egypt to attend the International Fatwa Conference.
The conference titled Fatwa and the Challenges of the Third Millennium is scheduled to take place from October 18-19 in Cairo. Minister Zahir is scheduled to deliver a speech at the conference.
The theme of this year's conference underscores the vital role of religious institutions and fatwa authorities in addressing the challenges facing the contemporary world, with all its complexities, and contributing to the establishment of proper frameworks for confronting these challenges. The conference will witness the participation of leading clerics, ministers, and scholars from 90 countries worldwide, along with high-level international organisations.
