The Maldives National University has launched its second Job Festival this year.
The two-day event called Fahi Furusath aims to provide career advice to university students. It also brings employers and jobseekers to one platform to provide information on career opportunities within the country. This year’s event was inaugurated by the Minister of Higher Education Dr. Ibrahim Hassan. He also visited all the stalls and observed the progress of the event, following the opening.
Speaking to PSM News, Minister Hassan said the festival will achieve many important goals. As such, he said that it is a great opportunity for the youth to know the job opportunities available in one place. He also said that the event is expected to bring youth into the job market.
Fahi Furusath is the second festival of its kind to be held this year. The event is being held from November 8-9 between 1600-2200hrs. This year, the festival will feature 26 stalls from a diverse range of employers, including a stall from MNU, which will provide information on job opportunities and courses offered by the university.
