MMPRC participates in ILTM Cannes 2023

The Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC), has showcased the luxury experiences in the Maldives at ILTM Cannes 2023, one of the world's premier luxury travel trade fairs. Running from December 4 - 7 at the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès, this event serves as a key platform for engaging with luxury buyers from major markets such as France, the United States, the UK, Germany, and Italy.

Eight leading companies in the Maldives' luxury tourism sector, including Amilla Fushi, Bliss Maldives, Cora Cora Maldives, and others, are participating in ILTM Cannes 2023. The Maldives, renowned as the ultimate luxury destination, is strategically targeting affluent segments to maintain its premium status in global markets.

MMPRC's participation aligns with its strategy to promote the Maldives as a top-of-mind luxury destination. The Maldives stand at the event showcases visuals of luxury resorts, liveaboards, and unique geographical features. Through one-on-one meetings, industry professionals connect with luxury buyers, disseminating information about the destination's luxury offerings.

As of November 29, 2023, the top 10 markets to the Maldives include Russia, India, China, the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, the United States, France, Spain, and Switzerland. Notably, tourist arrivals have seen a 9.41% increase compared to 2022, with 1,678,639 tourists recorded.
