Hamid Shafeeq appointed as Deputy National Security Advisor

Hamid Shafeeq has been appointed as the Deputy National Security Advisor at the President's Office. He was appointed to the post at the level of Deputy Minister.

Hamid Shafeeq retired from the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) with the rank of Major General. He joined the military in 1990 and served for 33 years, including as Deputy Director General of the National Counter Terrorism Centre (NCTC).

Hamid Shafeeq retired recently while serving as Commandant of the Service Corps.
