The Democrats calls for immediate solution to congestion in Male'

Hassan Latheef, the President of The Democrats, has called for an immediate solution to the problem of congestion in Male' City.

At a party function, Latheef described Male' City as overcrowded and barely livable and called for an immediate solution. He said that many of the problems in the city can be traced back to the issue of congestion, adding that no permanent solution has yet been put implemented.

Additionally, Latheef noted that the population of Greater Male' is close to 200,000 as more people move from the atolls to the region to seek various essential services. Therefore, he said a strong system should be in place to solve the problems in Male' and make the city a clean, safe and secure place.

Furthermore, Latheef highlighted the various difficulties faced by residents of Male' City, including traffic congestion and the lack of parking spaces. He affirmed The Democrats' unwavering commitment to addressing these pressing issues, emphasising their campaign focus for the upcoming mayoral election.
