President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has congratulated President of Egypt Abdel Fattah Al Sisi, on being re-elected for a new term of office.
In his message, President Muizzu congratulated President Al Sisi on behalf of the government and the people of the Maldives for his re-election for a third term. The President wished him success in honouring the confidence that the people of Egypt continue to have in President Al Sisi's leadership and vision as the President.
Underscoring the historical ties of friendship between the Maldives and Egypt, President Muizzu noted that they were built upon Islamic solidarity, mutual respect, and shared cultural values. The President thanked the Egyptian President for assisting the Maldives in various fields, including culture and heritage, economic cooperation, education, technical exchange, and tourism.
President Muizzu concluded his message by expressing the desire to continue working closely with the Egyptian government to fortify the two nations' brotherly ties.
