President aims to visit 100 islands before Ramadan

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has stated that he aims to visit around 100 islands before the next month of Ramadan.

Speaking on a Dhivehi Raajjeyge Adu programme, President Muizzu reaffirmed the administration's commitment to fulfilling the numerous promises and pledges made to the people. The President also announced a nationwide tour, starting with Guraidhoo, Thaa Atoll, where he received most of his electoral votes. He anticipates visiting about 100 islands before the next Ramadan and aims to visit every island twice during his tenure to maintain a close connection with the citizens and understand their needs firsthand.

President Muizzu received 625 votes or 74.05% of the vote in Guraidhoo while President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih received 219 votes, which is 25.95%. Prior to his visit to the atolls, President Muizzu will embark on trips to key foreign nations and is scheduled to travel abroad early next year.
