Highlighting that Maldivians have made significant decisions in the past year, President Muizzu noted that the people of the Maldives have decided that they should experience development, prosperity, and growth aligned with the rest of the world and that they do not want any foreign military presence in their nation. He underlined that the Maldives has chosen to build future generations devoted to Islam and dedicated to the nation to accomplish this.
Additionally, President Muizzu further noted that the Maldives has elected a new government and entrusted it with the task of realising the decisions made by Maldivians. He said the final few weeks of the previous year and the first few weeks of the current year will see the current Administration fully fulfilling the commitments outlined in the 14-week roadmap.
