Male' Water and Sewerage Company Private Limited (MWSC) has stated that the water supply and sewerage system projects for 15 islands are slated for completion this year.
Speaking to PSM News, Managing Director of MWSC Abdul Matheen Mohamed said that the projects consists of all the ongoing water supply and sewerage projects of MWSC. He explained that the initiative to establish water and sewerage systems across all islands in the Maldives began in 2013.
Additionally, Matheen said that MWSC has been granted contracts for water supply and sewerage system projects on 28 islands, with fieldwork ongoing for projects on 15 islands. He expressed optimism that the projects in the 15 islands will be completed within this year, ensuring the provision of services to residents.
MWSC has expressed its commitment to completing the water supply and sewerage system projects for all 15 islands by the end of the year, with a target completion date for the last island set for September.
