Vice President Hussain Mohamed Latheef has affirmed that President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu's commitments to the public are being realised within the confines of the legal framework. He made the statement during a political gathering hosted at the Peoples' National Congress (PNC).
Vice President Latheef reiterated that President Dr. Muizzu's primary focus upon assuming office was addressing the housing predicaments faced by the city's residents. He stated the president is actively advancing the development of the city, drawing inspiration from leading global cities.
Furthermore, Vice President Latheef acknowledged that certain measures taken for the city's progress are halted due to lack of parliamentary authority.
In his address, the vice president underscored the significance of affording women opportunities at the highest ranks of decision-making in the country. He maintained that integrating women's perspectives at such levels ensures the continued resonance of their voices in addressing societal needs.
