Over 64,000 ballot papers printed for Jan 13 by-elections

Elections Commission of the Maldives (ECM) has revealed that over 64,000 ballot papers have been printed for the by-elections on January 13.

ECM will be holding the Male' City council and mayoral by-elections on January 13, as well as the by-election for the Mulah women's development committee (WDC). The ballot papers for the by-elections were printed by Novelty Printers and Publishers Private Limited. Most of the ballot papers were printed for the mayoral by-election, which are 54,681 ballot papers.

According to the law, the number of ballot papers sent to ballot boxes will be one percent more than the number of registered voters. ECM has released the list of eligible voters for the by-elections and the locations where the ballot boxes will be placed.
