The President of Beijing Urban Construction Group (BUCG) International, Chang Yongchun, has paid a courtesy call on President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu.
The President of the BUCG remarked the visit of President Dr. Muizzu has brought China and the Maldives to a new level of cooperation and partnership. In response, the President expressed his pleasure at making his first state visit to China, highlighting the importance of China-Maldives ties to his Government.
During the call, the BUCG President also gave an overview of the various projects that the organisation is working on. He additionally expressed his support for the Maldives' economic growth under President Dr. Muizzu's government. President Dr. Muizzu spoke on various upcoming development initiatives in the Maldives and complimented the work carried out by BUCG.
The President and the First Lady are currently undertaking a state visit to China at the invitation of President of China Xi Jinping. A high-level delegation is accompanying the President and the First Lady on this visit.
