Rabita office in Maldives to be reinstated

The Ministry of Islamic Affairs has announced the decision to reinstate the office of Rabitat-ul-Alamil Islami in the Maldives.

Rabitat-ul-Alamil Islami, also known as the Muslim World League (MWL), is an international organization founded in 1962 in Mecca, Saudi Arabia.

During his visit to Saudi Arabia, Minister of Islamic Affairs Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed held a meeting with Deputy Secretary General of MWL Dr. Abdulrahman bin Abdullah Al Zaid. The meeting was attended by officials from the Ministry of Islamic Affairs in the Maldives, and representatives from the Maldives Embassy in Saudi Arabia were also present.

During the meeting, Minister Shaheem conveyed the Islamic vision of President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu. He held discussions which included the enhancement of relations between Rabita and Maldives, the implementation of three agreements signed between the Islamic ministry and Rabita for 2012-2015, He also held discussions to further strengthen relations between Rabita and the Maldives.
