Gov't hands over 32 beds to Guraidhoo special needs home

The Ministry of Islamic Affairs has handed over 32 beds to the Special Needs Home in Guraidhoo, Kaafu Atoll.

Minister of Islamic Affairs Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed presented the vouchers to Minister of Social and Family Development Dr. Aishath Shiham at a special ceremony.

Speaking at the ceremony, Minister Shaheem emphasised the Islamic principle of kindness and highlighted the importance of showing compassion to those in need of special assistance, considering it a crucial social characteristic. He pledged ongoing cooperation from the Islamic ministry to support the social ministry in its endeavors.

Meanwhile, Minister Shiham expressed the belief that a society's kindness is reflected in its ability to care for the most vulnerable members. She outlined the social ministry's commitment to ensuring that individuals residing in the Special Needs Home can lead dignified lives alongside their families.

The Islamic ministry handed over 32 modern medical beds with a total value of USD33,000. The islamic ministry facilitated the contribution through either direct donations or funds from Islamic Charity. This initiative aims to enhance the living conditions of individuals in the Special Needs Home, aligning with the principles of compassion and kindness emphasised in Islam.
