President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has sent felicitations to General David John Hurley, the Governor-General, and Anthony Albanese MP, the Prime Minister of Australia, in celebration of Australia Day.
In separate messages to the Governor-General and the Prime Minister, President Muizzu conveyed warm greetings and good wishes on behalf of the people and the government of the Maldives.
The President expressed his appreciation for Australia's unwavering support for the Maldives over the past five decades. He concluded the messages with hope for the continued progress and prosperity of the people of Australia.
This year marks the golden jubilee of diplomatic relations between the Maldives and Australia, which were established in 1974.
