MIRA to close Naifaru Collection Centre services

The Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA) has announced the closure of services at the Naifaru Collection Centre on January 29.

This decision comes after the expiration of the arrangement with the Naifaru Island Council and the transfer of vehicle fee collection responsibilities to the councils.

As part of its initiative to bring taxpayer services closer to the community, MIRA has established collection centers across all but three atolls in the country. Despite the suspension of services at the Naifaru Collection Centre, MIRA encourages taxpayers to make use of its online services. It includes the online submission of tax returns, as well as the ability to make all payments received by MIRA online. In addition, application forms for various services can be submitted through the official MIRA website.

For any inquiries or assistance, taxpayers are advised to contact MIRA through the "Live Chat" feature on their website or call the MIRA hotline.
