The ruling People's National Congress (PNC) has secured the vacant women's seat in the Thakandhoo Island Council, Haa Alifu Atoll.
The Elections Commission of the Maldives (ECM) scheduled the Thakandhoo Island Council by-election for February 24.
However, only PNC candidate Faheema Mohamed contested the seat. Therefore, she has won the vacant seat of the council uncontested.
