President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has conveyed his condolences following the death of Bar Council President Ismail Wisham.
In a post on X, President Muizzu conveyed condolences to the family of Wisham and the members of the Bar Council and said that his death of is an irreparable loss to the legal profession. He also described his death as a loss of a young and dedicated citizen.
President of the Bar Council Ismail Wisham passed away on January 31 while undergoing treatment after leg surgery. Senior government officials, state dignitaries and legal professionals have sent their condolences to his family.
Wisham was elected Chairman of the Bar Council's Executive Committee in 2022. He has also serviced as the Assistant Attorney General.
