President warmly welcomed from Guraidhoo

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu was warmly welcomed upon his arrival in Guraidhoo, Thaa Atoll, marking a pivotal visit as part of his official tour of the islands in the atoll.

Guraidhoo was the first stop on this island tour, chosen as the initial destination due to its significance as the island where President Dr. Muizzu secured the largest majority in the presidential election, receiving 74.05% of the vote with 625 votes.

Scheduled to engage with the residential community of Guraidhoo, President Dr. Muizzu is set to meet with the Guraidhoo Council and Women Development Committee, fostering direct interactions to better understand and address the needs of the local population. His commitment to considering citizens' perspectives has been a consistent theme, reflecting his dedication to efficiently fulfill his presidential responsibilities.

Pledging to visit every island in the Maldives as part of his outreach strategy, President Dr. Muizzu aims to connect with residents across the nation and prioritize their most pressing needs. Accompanying him during this three-day visit to the islands of Thaa Atoll is a high-level governmental delegation, underlining the significance of the trip in fostering collaboration and addressing regional priorities.

The President will visit ten islands within Thaa Atoll, where he will engage with citizens and local authorities after assuming office. The scheduled islands to be visited are Guraidhoo, Dhiyamigili, Gaadhiffushi, Veymandoo, Buruni, Kandoodhoo, Vandhoo, Omadhoo, and Kinbidhoo.
