President affirms World Bank and IMF recognition of Maldives' economic progress

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has stated that both the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) have acknowledged the positive trajectory of the Maldives' economy. The President made these remarks while engaging with residents of Dhiyamigili during his island tour in Thaa Atoll.

In his address, President Muizzu highlighted the substantial efforts undertaken by the administration to enhance the country's economic landscape, emphasising the recognition received from international entities. He noted that the people of the Maldives had endorsed the economic manifesto launched during his Presidential campaign.

President Muizzu conveyed that he had apprised the World Bank and the IMF of the administration's proposed strategies to address current economic challenges during recent meetings. He pointed out that both organisations supported these solutions, underscoring their commitment to assisting the government in improving the economic situation.
