President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu was warmly welcomed upon his arrival in Buruni, Thaa Atoll, marking a pivotal visit as part of his official tour of the islands in the atoll.
President Dr. Muizzu was welcomed by the Buruni Island council, members of the women's development committee (WDC), employees of government agencies and a large number of island residents upon his arrival.
The President will visit ten islands within Thaa Atoll, where he will engage with citizens and local authorities after assuming office. The scheduled islands to be visited are Guraidhoo, Dhiyamigili, Gaadhiffushi, Veymandoo, Buruni, Kandoodhoo, Vandhoo, Omadhoo, and Kinbidhoo.
