President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has met with the Island Council and Women's Development Committee (WDC) of Vandhoo, Thaa Atoll, holding a meeting at the Fenaka office on Vandhoo.
During the session, council members presented the most critical needs of the island community to President Dr. Muizzu. These needs included a request for an ice plant, sporting facilities for youth, the establishment of a children's park, and upgrades to the health center. The council members also highlighted challenges related to space constraints and other issues at the council secretariat.
The WDC members voiced concerns about the limited sporting facilities available for women and budget constraints affecting their initiatives.
Addressing the gathering, President Dr. Muizzu assured council members that the Administration would thoroughly examine the raised concerns and actively seek amicable solutions through established mechanisms.
Accompanied by a high-level government delegation, President Dr. Muizzu conducted a comprehensive tour of the Thaa Atoll, demonstrating the government's commitment to understanding and addressing the specific needs of communities within the region.
