President to meet all local councils, WDCs within a month

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has announced plans to engage with all local councils and women’s development committees (WDCs) across the nation.

Speaking at a gathering with Kinbidhoo residents in Thaa Atoll, President Dr. Muizzu emphasised his commitment to working closely with the citizens. As such, he announced plans to convene with all councils and WDCs in the Maldives within a month, stressing the importance of listening to citizens and fostering close collaboration.

Additionally, President Dr. Muizzu acknowledged logistical constraints preventing visits to every island but assured his dedication to meeting with all councils and WDCs nationwide. He underscored his objective to address the communities' needs through direct engagement and pledged to meet with all representatives within the specified timeframe.

President Dr. Muizzu's visit to Thaa Atoll marks his inaugural tour of the atolls since assuming office. During this tour, he visited ten islands within the atoll, engaging with all councils and WDCs along the way.
