President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu concluded his three-day visit to Thaa Atoll and returned to Malé.
The journey commenced with Guraidhoo as the President's first destination, followed by visits to Dhiyamigili, Madifushi, Veymandoo, Buruni, Kandoodhoo, Vandhoo, Omadhoo, Kinbidhoo, and Gaadhiffushi. During these visits, President Muizzu met with residents, island councils, and the Women's Development Committee (WDCs). Additionally, meetings were held with island councils and WDCs from Vilufushi, Hirilandhoo, and Thimarafushi.
Addressing the complex economic and financial challenges faced by the country, the president urged island councils to prioritize and submit lists of developmental projects in order of significance. President Muizzu emphasised the administration's commitment to improving the country's economic situation, noting the endorsement of the Government's economic agenda by the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
Accompanied by a high-level Government delegation, President Dr. Muizzu's tour of the Thaa Atoll reflects a dedicated effort to address and understand the developmental needs of the islands within the context of the broader economic landscape.
